Sell by weight on Shopify. Charge the real weight automatically.

Your buyer pays the estimated price at checkout. You weigh the order. Variable Weight Charges adjusts the order to the actual weight and charges the difference to the buyer's card, or refunds it. No second invoice, no manual refunds.

How it works

1. Set a price per pound and an estimated weight. Pick the products you sell by weight, like steaks, roasts or whole birds. The app prices each one at its estimate.
2. Buyers check out as usual. The product page explains that the final price is by actual weight. The buyer pays the estimate and their card stays on file for the difference.
3. Weigh the order. Type each line's weight on your phone or computer. You see the difference before you confirm.
4. The app settles it. Heavier: the buyer's card is charged the difference. Lighter: the difference is refunded. The buyer gets an email with each weight and the final total.
